Power Tools and Pumpkins

I would have used the drill and hole saw for all parts of the pumpkin this year but Grayson was determined that we should do a traditional mouth and nose so I only got to use my tools for the eyes. I’ve already stated that next year, I will use the drill for the whole thing. And considering the number of times I almost hurt myself with the knife, it would have been a safer (and much faster) way of creating it.

This year, Grayson is dressed up as Darth Vader or Darth Grayson… whichever you prefer. I’m just proud that he’s at least seen the original Star Wars film first, which I think is an absolute requirement for being allowed to dress up as the famous sith lord. What’s ironic though is that it appears in the film that the lifesupport controls for Vader are mounted on the suit around his chest and stomach area (which of course is pretty impractical in since it should have been rather easy to disable him). Nevertheless, the odd thing here is that under that same area of Grayson’s suit is his insulin pump (an electronic device designed to help keep him alive although obviously not the same level of necessity as Vader’s stuff). I guess I just found it an interesting coincidence.

    Oh that’s odd!

No pictures from the archived entry, but only from the front page. I didn’t see them until I went to wilcoxzone.com directly.

    Sorry!
