Grayson Starts School

In Williamson County (where we now live), kindergarten didn’t start full day classes until this week. But Grayson has been just itching to finally get to ride the bus. And despite a few minor issues, he’s loving both school and riding the bus. Still, I know Monday was a big deal for both of us. At his school, they apparently offered a coffee and tissues gathering for kindergarten moms who were dropping their kids off for their first day.

There are several good things, though, that have made this easier. While it’s suddenly hitting us that he’s growing up and getting a lot older, the fact that he’s gone to pre-school and the fact that he wants to (currently) go to school really help. But at the same time, the more I realize that he is getting to an age where I actually have some memories, the more I realize just how quickly he’s growing up. It is a pretty amazing thing.

Congrats to Grayson on getting to ride the bus. And, big hugs to his mom and dad who had to stand back and watch him go.
