The Braves Start Winning
I just can’t help but write a quick entry about the Braves. This season has been extremely frustrating to watch so far. The biggest reason of course has been pitching. Last I checked, the Braves had more blown saves than any other team in the Majors and I’d imagine that the stats regarding the number of games they’ve lost while still scoring 5 or more runs in the game is extremely high. The other night, they needed 13 (they scored 15) runs to win the game (in extra innings). It was conceivable (had they changed pitchers) they would have had multiple blown saves in the same game. It’s fun watching them score runs and it’s neat that they’ve put together some wins but there is no way they are going to have any real success the rest of the season without some consistentcy from their pitching, especially in the late innings.
