Happy 5th Birthday to Grayson
Grayson turns 5 today. I can hardly believe it. It’s been a hard year, dealing with changes and blood sugar problems, but the progress he’s made in so many ways is amazing.
His comprehension of the world has drastically changed in the last year and I am looking more forward to this coming year.
I do feel bad for him, though. He started feeling really sick on Friday, so we cancelled his party that was going to be on Saturday. The next available
time for having it wasn’t until February 4th so now he’s got to wait several weeks again before actually having the party. Saturday he was in such bad shape that
we took him to the doctor (we’re thanking the Lord his doctor happened to be on call in Cartersville). He had Strep so bad that there was blood on
the swabs when they did a culture. They immediately gave him an antibiotic shot and by Saturday night he was almost back to normal. Now he’s dealing with the remnants of a cold
or something that went along with it. He’s been coughing away all night despite heavy medication. I’m just hoping he feels well tomorrow so he can at least enjoy his actual birthday some.
