New Blog Internals
I hate to bother folks with the internal workings of the site, but I had to point out that
I now have the site working with a completely new set of working internals. Previously I had
used Blogger to generate the content. Since I have been unable
to publish on Blogger in the last few weeks, I decided to cut ties and create my own content management
system. So hopefully I will be able to start posting again more frequently. The good thing is that as part
of the internal rewrite is that the feeds are changing slightly. I am temporarily removing atom feeds (I
rewrote RSS 2.0 feeds). The coolest new feature (which is also a negative) is that the old permalinks are
now going away. The new permalinks are of the “clean URL” variety which means that there are no long parameters.
This is also supposed to help with search engines and the like.
