Switchfoot and CD Copy Protection

It appears as though, Switchfoot isn’t happy about the copy protection on their new CD. This article on blogcritics about Switchfoot and copy protection gives a pretty accurate picture of what’s going on and information on how to get around it. I have tried CDEX now on my WinXP box and it works great ripping straight to unprotected WMA so now I just need to run some tests under Linux to see how it responds. (ht: Brandon)

    Fortunately, the problem with Columbia Records’ CDs can be circumvented. I just learned Sony’s DRM is getting downright insidious.
