Let the Commenting Begin
I wish I could point you to the source of the PHP-based commenting system I started with but after downloading about 4 or 5 of them, I can’t even figure out where I started. But whatever I got was terribly broken. I ripped the whole thing apart and used bits and pieces and enhanced the whole thing to work with the blogs. WilcoxZone here is the first one to get the comments. Once I have it tweaked and working, I’ll roll that out to the other two blogs as well as the trackback system (which I still need to get ironed out a bit). So give it a try, see what happens, and let us know what you think!

This is an example comment. You can even put some XHTML markup in there. In fact, I am certain that the system is a bit too forgiving. But it’s all about keeping thing open and flexible.

I think there should be a hyperlink on the “N comments” note on the main page. For a moment, I was stymied as to how to leave comments, and I thought something was broken.
