Replaced the Radio in the Jeep
Due to some crackling noise in the radio in our Jeep, I had to replace the radio/cd player. Thanks to the internet, I found some great instructions for removing Jeep Grand Cherokee Factory audio components. Meanwhile, major kudos to Crutchfield for their kit (which allowed me to do all the wiring in the comfort of the basement instead of the heat of the car. And also for their technical support staff who (I hate to admit it) immediately discovered my wiring flaw (the Infiniti system amp circuit required me to hook a blue with white tracer from the head unit to the solid blue of the wiring harness). The cool part is that now we can listen to WMA/MP3 CD’s in the Jeep. The bummer is that unless I find a interface system for it, the steering wheel controls are now useless. Bummer.
