Robert Novak: Kerry’s scarlet letter
In Robert Novak’s latest column, “Kerry’s scarlet letter”, he expertly puts into perspective the political positioning and strategy going on with Kerry especially with regard to the latest debate. He points out how Kerry is attempting to show himself as being moderate — anti-abortion (but unwilling to impose his morality on others), fiscally conservative (even though he essentially wants to double or in some cases mega-spend on all areas of spending), and for tort reform (which he has ritually voted against and now has Edwards as his running mate).
