Left Coast Drivel
It’s this kind of MSNBC - Bush Is to Blame drivel that makes me wonder what the former Berkley students were saying in the 1980’s. I’ll bet they were saying the same things. Probably saying “Reagan is going to drive us into World War III with his talk about “evil empires”. He’s alienating us from the rest of the world. Boo hoo hoo, somebody might not like us anymore.” This is strikingly similar to their complaint of Bush’s worldview. And you know what, the students in the 80’s complaining about nukes and Reaganomics and all that… they we’re wrong! Just like they are wrong now.
Some specific questions for the Berkley students here… What part of Bush’s rhetoric specifically encourages us not to treat Iraqi’s as humans? W. and the leadership have been trying like crazy to allow the Iraqi’s to keep their dignity — not allowing the US flag to be raised over any captured cities during the combat operations, constant reminders to the world that this not about religion. In my mind, W. has been entirely TOO tolerant and TOO open in his world view. This mindless Berkley (and Michael Moore-esque) liberal crap is going to drive me crazy, because frankly I am tired of being told that America is evil because we chose to do the tough but right thing… and that this is “all George W. Bush’s fault”. Make’s me want to quote the Vice-President.
