FOXNews.com - U.S. & World - S. Koreans Vent Anger Over Beheading — they should be mad. But how foolish can you be? They sound just like the Spanish before the election. “Bush and Roh killed Sun-il”?. It’s that kind of fuzzy logic that plays right into the hands of terrorists. They kill and behead and blow up things and themselves because they believe it will work. They do it because weak-minded people will be afraid and will back down from doing the right thing.
The most bizarro statement though was “It is impossible to implement the task of peace and reconstruction at a time when not only the troops, but also ordinary civilians, are under threat ? as witnessed by the killing of Mr. Kim Sun-il” — the statement by a group of S. Korean lawmakers. I guess it’s been too long since the Korean “conflict” for them to remember what war is really about. We are at war with terrorism. That’s why we have soldiers there. They seem to think it’s only oppropriate to participate in any work if there is no risk involved. Why even have an army or military if they can only be used the “implement the task of peace” in areas where there is no risk? If there is no risk it would imply there is already peace and therefore there is no need to implement it! So essentially they only believe in “waging peace” where peace already exists. That’s helpful.
