UF and Icarus
I noticed in my latest issue of Network Computing an article about UF’s new Icarus network limiting software and subsequently found this Wired News: Florida Dorms Lock Out P2P Users article that more quickly summarizes what they have done. What would concern me if I was a student would be my ability to use certain tools that might “look” like P2P traffic and therefore get cutoff for doing something legitimate.
