Danny Wuerffel Gets Cut
Anyone who knows me, knows what a big Danny Wuerffel fan I am. Needless to say, I had to shed a few tears today as I was shocked to read this story — Danny Wuerffel gets cut!. What amazes me is that essentially everyone has given up on him. He had a decent pre-season and once again proved that he can play. He had a couple of games last season where he proved he could play. He has proven it all along. He has also had some bad games. But what quarterback hasn’t? Even Brett Farve has had a 3 or 4 or 5 interception game. I will said one more time so that everyone can hear! If Danny had been given the kind of carte blance opportunity that Peyton Manning had then he would have done as well or better than Peyton. Nobody wanted to step out on faith. It appears that Spurrier has lost enough faith as well… since he seems unwilling to buck the management on this. I hope they all regret it. Now, if either Jax or Marty Shottenheimer in San Diego or Seattle (who expressed some intrest earlier) will wise up and snatch him up.
